The unit ramps samples at 2.6 °C s⁻¹ (block 2.7 °C s⁻¹) across a calibrated 4 – 99.9 °C range; uniformity is ± 0.5 °C 30 s after reaching 95 °C. At 8.3 × 14.2 × 8.7 in and 13.5 lb, the 2720 tucks into biosafety cabinets or mobile carts, yet accepts heated-lid accessories to prevent condensation without mineral oil.

Economic Advantage:

Universities flocked to the 2720 because it replicated the proven 9700 control electronics in a chassis costing half as much and occupying one-third the bench space.
