Designed for the Sorvall Lynx and other superspeed centrifuges, the Fiberlite F21-8 × 50 Y is a fixed-angle, carbon-fiber rotor intended for high-throughput sub-cellular separations. Its composite construction sheds more than 40 % of the mass of equivalent metal rotors while delivering a 20,000 rpm ceiling and 47,850 × g RCF. The carbon lay-up is fatigue-free, corrosion-proof and completely recyclable; Auto-Lock™ and O-ring-sealed biocontainment lid let a single operator load, latch and release in seconds without tools. The 34 ° bore accepts Oak Ridge, conical, micro- and blood-collection adapters, giving researchers one interchangeable head from 1 mL microtubes up to 50 mL PPCO bottles.
