About the Nordson EFD Ultimus I
Description:
The Ultimus I pairs a universal-input switch-mode supply with a digitally-controlled regulator (0–100 psi) and 7-digit timer (0.0001–999.9999 s). Sixteen on-board programs, a constant-bleed regulator and >600 cycle-per-minute rate make it a favourite on electronics and medical-device benches. Operators can trigger by foot, finger-switch or TTL, while a lock-out mode keeps validated settings secure.
Economic Advantage:
Before systems like the Ultimus, techs had to tune analog knobs and guess at deposit volumes. Digital timing down to 0.0001 s and rock-stable air pressure slashed adhesive waste and rework, cutting consumable cost and improving first-pass yield in SMT lines.
