Description:
Dentistry’s “iron horse,” the GX-770 delivers reproducible exposures no matter the building voltage, thanks to automatic line-voltage compensation that holds 70 kVp and 7 mA within ±10 %. The .6 mm focal spot sharpens bite-wing detail, while a 74-inch scissor arm glides into position without droop. Quick-set knobs on the tube head select adult molar, incisor, pediatric or film/digital modes; the electronic timer fires in 1/60-s increments and compensates for D, E or F speed film. A remote wall panel mounts outside the operatory for radiation safety.
Economic Advantage:
Because the generator’s head houses both timer and exposure switch, practices retrofit digital sensors without replacing their control console. The self-compensating transformer keeps density constant through brownouts, cutting retakes by ~15 % and saving film or sensor wear.
