About the Fluke Biomedical CuffLink NIBP

Description:

The CuffLink packs a micro-compressor, digital manometer and programmable waveform generator into a 15 × 12.5 × 5 in, 15-lb chassis for comprehensive hospital-grade blood-pressure testing. Users select adult, pediatric or neonatal envelopes, adjust target systolic/diastolic values, and let the internal pump generate oscillometric waveforms while real-time pressure traces scroll on an 8-line LCD. Inflation and deflation rates from 0.1 to 999.9 mmHg s⁻¹ reproduce hypotensive to hypertensive scenarios; an automatic leak and pop-off sequence verifies monitor relief valves up to 500 mmHg. Five arrhythmia patterns plus heart-rate selections from 30 to 240 bpm challenge artifact filters, and up to five custom autosequences cycle through 99 repetitions for unattended testing. RS-232 output streams waveforms to medTester or PCs, and Centronics printouts create paper audits. A universal 120/250 V power input and rugged carry case make the CuffLink equally suited to biomedical shops and field service.

Economic Advantage:

Traditional BP analyzers required manual bulbs and stopwatches for static checks. The CuffLink automates every step—including leak tests—cutting verification time from 20 minutes to under 5 and freeing technicians for other revenue tasks. Its built-in pump negates external gas sources, and long-life solid-state sensors eliminate yearly diaphragm kits, lowering lifetime calibration costs by an estimated 30 %.
