About the GE Carescape Dinamap V100

Description:

The GE CARESCAPE Dinamap V100 is a battery-powered, point-of-care vital-signs monitor for adult, pediatric or neonatal patients. It combines the spot-check simplicity of a handheld device with the continuous monitoring capabilities of a bedside monitor. With advanced DINAMAP™ SuperSTAT and Classic blood-pressure algorithms, readings can be as fast as 14 seconds—while artifact rejection and comfort-rated cuffs support accurate S/D/MAP values even in low-perfusion or restless patients. Three SpO₂ technologies (GE Ohmeda TruSignal™, Nellcor OxiMax®, or Masimo SET®) and an Exergen TemporalScanner® thermometer (≈10 s predictive mode) ensure consistent, high-fidelity readings. A clear user interface, eight-hour battery life (≈11.5 h in non-SpO₂ models), and rugged roll-stand design make it ideal for rapid rounds, intra-hospital transport, or decentralized clinics.

Economic Advantage:

The V100’s “two devices in one” design eliminated the need for separate spot-check and continuous monitors, reducing capital outlay and simplifying staff training. Its rapid DINAMAP SuperSTAT acquisition (up to 38 % faster than leading competitors) shortened cycle times, boosting patient throughput and lowering per-measurement labor costs. Coupled with long battery runtime and universal connectivity to CARESCAPE central stations, the V100 delivered a lower total cost of ownership and consistent measurement standards across care areas—key factors in its widespread adoption.
