About the Burdick Atria 3100

Description:

Cardiac Science’s Burdick Atria 3100 packs full 12-lead acquisition, analysis and printout into an 11-pound brief-case-sized chassis. A sealed membrane QWERTY keyboard and menu-driven, 2 × 40-character back-lit LCD streamline patient entry and review. Clinicians can run automatic, rhythm or STAT modes, capturing 3-, 4-, 6- or 12-lead traces that a high-resolution thermal engine outputs onto standard 8.5 × 11-inch Z-fold paper. Internal memory retains 50 ECGs, and optional 10/100 Ethernet or 802.11g wireless modules send data to EMR systems. Powered by universal 100–240 V AC or the hot-swap NiMH pack, the Atria prints continuously for roughly 55 minutes between charges—ideal for ward rounds or ambulance hand-overs.

Economic Advantage:

At roughly half the price and footprint of cart-based cardiographs, the Atria 3100 let small clinics digitize ECG workflow without third-party interfaces: its native HL7-ready LAN/Wi-Fi options push PDF or XML directly to patient folders, eliminating transcription and consumable-only costs add up to pennies per test. The long-life thermal head avoids gel ribbons, and the 11-lb frame doubles as a portable outreach unit, reducing duplicate capital spend.
