SciCan’s STATIM 5000 is a countertop, single-cassette steam autoclave that sterilizes instruments by injecting a measured shot of distilled water into a thin stainless cassette and flashing it to 270 °F (132 °C) steam. A micro-processor controls four preset cycles (unwrapped, wrapped, rubber/plastic and heavy-duty) and drives the Dri-Tec™ positive-pressure drying phase, so handpieces come out cool-to-touch and ready for use. The removable cassette, filtered-air drying, on-board reservoir and optional G4 Wi-Fi data logging make the 5000 easy to park chair-side in dental, ophthalmic or ambulatory surgical suites without plumbing or external recorders.
