About the Physio-Control Lifepak 20 Biphasic Pacing Analyzer

Description:

The LIFEPAK 20 is an all-in-one acute cardiac care system combining biphasic defibrillation, 3-lead or 5-lead ECG monitoring, and manual/noninvasive pacing in a single portable chassis. A 4.5″ × 3.4″ color LCD displays real-time waveforms and alphanumeric data, while front-panel controls let ALS clinicians switch seamlessly between Manual and AED modes. An internal battery charges in under 2½ hours and supports up to 120 minutes of continuous monitoring or 90 full-energy (360 J) shocks, plus 70 minutes of pacing at 100 mA/60 ppm. Optional modules add SpO₂, EtCO₂ and automatic code-event recording. Built-in QUIK-COMBO™ therapy electrodes, quick-disconnect paddles and an IPX1 drip-protected enclosure make it clinic- and field-ready.

Economic Advantage:

As one of the first hospital-grade defibrillators to integrate a true biphasic waveform with onboard noninvasive pacing and advanced ECG display, the LIFEPAK 20 dramatically reduced code-response times and downtime between shocks. Its rapid charge to 360 J in under 7 seconds and seamless Mode switching let care teams deliver timely therapy without swapping devices. By consolidating defibrillation, pacing, monitoring and data-logging into one unit, it lowered capital and training costs, improved staff efficiency during codes, and set the standard for multi-parameter emergency carts.
