Description:
The ScanX IO ILE processes size 0–4 photostimulable phosphor (PSP) plates, scanning and erasing each in a single automated pass. Plates enter through a lead-shielded slot; a helical laser reads latent images at up to 20 line-pairs mm before the inline erase lamp clears the phosphor for immediate reuse. The front-panel LCD shows preview thumbnails and plate count, while Wi-Fi and Ethernet transmit 16-bit, 1000 dpi images to common imaging suites. Four slots accommodate simultaneous feeding, delivering a size-2 plate in seven seconds and throughput of 30 plates per minute. The unit occupies just 12 × 9 × 15 in and weighs 42 lb, fitting under worktops without external erasers.
Economic Advantage:
Inline erase eliminates the need for separate plate ovens, halving capital cost compared with first-generation PSP scanners.
