The pNeuton A is a purely pneumatic ventilator that runs from a single 50 psi oxygen hose—no batteries, no electronics—making it ideal for ambulance stretchers, MRI suites and disaster caches. A calibrated Venturi blender lets providers choose 100 % O₂ for resuscitation or 65 % O₂ to conserve cylinders. Three knobs set tidal volume (360–1 500 mL), rate (3–50 bpm) and pressure limit (15–75 cmH₂O); a built-in demand-flow valve delivers up to 140 L min⁻¹ of flow for spontaneous breaths without wasting gas. Modes include CMV, IMV and pure CPAP/PEEP (0–20 cmH₂O) with automatic patient-disconnect and low-supply alarms powered by the drive gas itself. A large analog manometer, color-coded O₂ selector and bell-crank controls remain legible through PPE face shields. The aluminum chassis weighs just 6.5 lb and measures 5 × 10 × 7 in, yet is tested MRI-conditional to 3 T with a remote-alarm jack for the control room.
