The ELx405 is a versatile benchtop washer engineered for both 96- and 384-well microplates, including deep-well formats up to 50 mm tall. An integrated positive-displacement pump dispenses 50–3 000 µL per well in 1 µL increments, while a Dual-Action™ manifold—adjustable in X, Y and Z—ensures uniform aspiration and minimal residuals. Users create and store up to 75 wash, prime, dispense and aspirate protocols via the built-in keypad or optional RS-232 computer interface. Maintenance is simplified by the patent-pending Ultrasonic Advantage™, which automatically cleans manifold tubing to remove salt and protein buildup. Optional modules for shaking, soaking, magnetic separation or multi-buffer switching expand functionality for ELISA, cell-based and bead-based assays
