About the Invitrogen iBlot 2 (IB21001)

Description:

The Invitrogen iBlot 2 Gel Transfer Device (Model IB21001) is an advanced, dry blotting system engineered for rapid and efficient protein transfer from polyacrylamide gels to membranes such as nitrocellulose or PVDF. Utilizing an optimized electric field and pressure system, it performs semi-dry western blotting in as little as 7 minutes—significantly faster than traditional wet or semi-dry methods. The user-friendly interface features a touchscreen display, pre-programmed and customizable transfer protocols, and compatibility with iBlot 2 transfer stacks. The system eliminates buffer preparation and reduces the risk of sample loss or membrane damage.

Economic Advantage:

The iBlot 2 drastically reduces western blot transfer time while maintaining high transfer efficiency, improving lab throughput and reproducibility. Its dry, buffer-free workflow cuts down on consumables, setup complexity, and hands-on time—leading to greater cost-efficiency in routine protein analysis.
