About the Kavo Aribex Nomad Pro 2
Description:
The NOMAD Pro 2 packages a 0.4 mm focal-spot, 60 kVDC, 2.5 mA X-ray tube, generator, shielding and high-resolution touch interface into a six-pound pistol-grip housing. Dual lead-impregnated acrylic shields guard the operator’s hand and torso; internal collimation produces a 2.4-in (60 mm) circular beam at a fixed 8-in source-to-skin distance. A smart-Li-ion battery cluster (21.6 V, 1.5 Ah) powers over 600 eighty-millisecond exposures per charge and snaps on/off without tools. Exposure settings from 0.02 s–1.0 s are selected via a backlit icon menu that auto-programs for adult/child, film/PSP/CMOS receptors. System duty cycle is limited to 1:60 to protect the anode, and firmware tracks tube-head temperature with lockout logic.
