About the Masimo Rad-87
Description:
Rad-87 wraps Masimo’s multi-wavelength Rainbow engine in a 9.5-inch, 2-lb enclosure that clamps to an IV pole or docks on a Root® platform. The 6.5-inch high-contrast LCD shows SpO₂, PI, PVI, pulse rate plus optional SpCO, SpMet or SpHb. SmartTone beeps on every detected pulse, and Signal IQ bars grade perfusion so staff spot artifact instantly. Measurement ranges span 0–100 % SpO₂, 0–99 % SpCO and 0–99.9 % SpMet; accuracy holds ±2 % SpO₂ (70–100 %, no motion) and ±3 % SpCO (1–40 %). Ethernet, RS-232 and Wi-Fi stream live data to Patient SafetyNet™, and a nurse-call relay closes if alarms go unacknowledged. The 10.8 V Li-ion battery delivers four hours of monitoring or >100 shocks when docked on a ZOLL defib trolley.
