About the Mortara ELI 150RX

Description:

The Mortara ELI 150 RX is a lightweight resting electrocardiograph built for research-quality acquisitions at the point of care. A 320 × 240-pixel back-lit LCD previews all 12 leads in real time, while Mortara’s VERITAS™ algorithm provides on-board adult and pediatric interpretation and high-fidelity pacemaker-spike detection thanks to dual sampling rates—40 kHz for spike capture and 1 kHz for waveform recording. Flash memory stores up to 150 ECGs, and a full keyboard plus one-touch keys speed acquisition, rhythm printing and transmission. For data flow, the 150 RX offers bi-directional XML/PDF exchange over serial, LAN, internal 56 k modem, GSM/GPRS mobile or secure Wi-Fi, and can download study-specific fields from the E-Scribe Rx system so sites see the right demographics every time. Optional barcode and multi-study support further cut keystrokes, and the 4-in thermal printer delivers full-sized reports at 5–50 mm/s.

Economic Advantage:

Clinical-trial sponsors and outpatient clinics adopted the ELI 150 RX because it slashed data-handling costs without sacrificing diagnostic resolution. Automatic XML uploads to E-Scribe eliminated manual transcription errors and the courier fees once spent shipping paper ECGs, while the 7.2-lb footprint let one device serve multiple exam rooms instead of dedicating a PC-tethered cart to each. Battery endurance of roughly 200 tests per charge meant fewer workflow interruptions, and because it uses standard Z-fold paper and ordinary snap/banana lead sets, consumable expenses stayed minimal. Together these savings often paid back the capital outlay within the first protocol cycle.
