Description:
The ventilated Micro 17 spins 24 microtubes to 17,000 × g in a footprint scarcely larger than a letter-sized sheet. Intuitive single-knob programming sets 1–99 min or HOLD runs, and ClickSeal™ lids give aerosol-tight certification without screw caps. Polymer rotors resist corrosive reagents, while acceleration to top speed takes 11 s. Quiet 56 dBA acoustics and CSA/CE/IVD compliance make it welcome in clinical spaces as well as molecular labs.
Economic Advantage:
Many labs substitute bulky floor centrifuges for quick plasmid spin-downs. Micro 17 turns those jobs into bench-top tasks, cutting queue time and freeing shared instruments. Its dual-row rotor removes adapters, so the same head handles 0.5 mL PCR clean-ups and 2 mL mini-preps—halving capital outlay versus separate rotors.
