About the UVP CL-1000
Description:
The CL-1000 delivers repeatable UV doses for Southern/Northern blotting, PCR decontamination and sterilisation. A built-in radiometer closes the lamp-age feedback loop, letting you dose by energy (up to 999,900 µJ cm⁻²) or time (to 999.9 min). Five 8 W germicidal tubes sit in a 10 × 12 × 5 in stainless chamber with interlock-protected lay-down door.
Economic Advantage:
Built-in dose control replaced trial-and-error oven baking, giving labs 20-minute DNA fixation instead of overnight drying, and virtually eliminated membrane over-exposure costs.
