About the Waters 4 Channel (ILD)
Description:
Each of the four PTFE AF chambers strips dissolved gases to <1 ppm O₂ at up to 5 mL min⁻¹ flow, using a constant-run stepper-motor pump (<0.08 psi pressure drop). Compact (5.25 × 12 × 5.75 in, 7.5 lb) and rated to 10 psi, it slides between solvent bottles and pump in any LC stack.
Economic Advantage:
It replaced messy helium sparging, cutting gas costs and yielding flatter baselines (<5 µAU) on UV detectors, especially for low-micromole gradient work.
